BxG Strategy was founded by Adriaan Andringa in an effort to strengthen cooperation in innovation and the European Industrial Strategy between the Netherlands and Germany. The Netherlands and Germany both have strong high-tech industries, creating technological innovations that help solve the challenges society faces. The European Industrial Strategy recognizes the possibilities that technologies offer and focusses on competitive sustainability for the future of European industry. At the same time, many governments within Europe seem focused on Intereuropean competition, undermining the European level playing field and loosing track of the bigger geopolitical developments Europe faces. By building relationships on the crossroads of the public and private domains, BxG Strategy aims to create a synergy that businesses and governments can never achieve on their own. BxG Strategy is located in Voorschoten, near the Hague in the Netherlands, and is moving to the German high-tech capital of Munich.
Adriaan Andringa started his career on the crossroads of the public and the private sector in political communication. After a few years as a freelance professor in Strategic Communication and Debating at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, he joined political party D66 as a press officer and campaign manager in the Hague. He took his experience as a volunteer for the 2012 Obama campaign to the Netherlands, winning an upset victory for D66 in the 2014 elections. Afterwards, he joined Deputy Mayor Ingrid van Engelshoven, political leader of the Hague, as her political advisor. For the 2018 elections,

After the 2018 elections, Adriaan transitioned into the private sector, joining Public Affairs consultancy DR2. He represented a myriad of clients, with a focus on technology. When the start of the Covid-pandemic disrupted global value chains in early 2020, Adriaan joined industrial trade organization FME as Public Affairs advisor. He realized that the lockdown of factories all over the world didn’t just impact companies and their employees in the short term, but also undermined their ability to develop and produce technologies in the long term that the world needs to address issues like climate change. Adriaan represented the Dutch high-tech industry and helped attract major investments by the Dutch government in technological innovation. Since the Netherlands has lost much of its strategic relevance in Europe after the Brexit, with London always having been an important partner for the Dutch government, Adriaan advocated for stronger cooperation between the Hague, Berlin and Paris. When his wife’s career took his family to Munich, Adriaan founded BxG Strategy to keep working on this mission.
